The Shade Guide: Finding Your MLB Foundation Match Online
Buying foundation online is the hardest part of shopping for makeup. Here's the method our team uses, and the tool that does it in under a minute.
Step 1 - Find your undertone
Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in daylight. Greenish veins usually mean a warm undertone, blue or purple means cool, and a mix of both means neutral.
Two quick cross-checks makeup artists use: which metal suits you more (gold leans warm, silver leans cool), and how your skin reacts to sun (burns easily leans cool, tans easily leans warm).
Step 2 - Match depth at your jawline
Never swatch on the back of your hand - it's almost always a different depth to your face. Swatch along the jawline instead and check it in natural light. The right shade disappears; the wrong one sits as a stripe.
Step 3 - Use the shade chart
