How to Apply Concealer Without Creasing (MUA Method)

Creasing is almost never the concealer's fault - it's usually too much product in the wrong place. Here's the fix.

Use less than you think

The MLB Liquid Longwear Concealer is full coverage, so a thin layer already does the job. Start with a small amount, let it do the work, and only add a second thin layer over the areas that still need it.

Warm it before you place it

Dot it onto the back of your hand first and pick it up with your ring finger or a damp sponge. Warm product melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it, which is where creases start.

Place it where the shadow is

Most people apply concealer far too low. The darkness usually sits in the inner corner and along the tear trough, not halfway down the cheek. Keep it high and tight, blend upwards and outwards.

Set once, lightly

Press a small amount of the MLB 24HR Translucent Loose Powder into the area with a small brush while the concealer is still slightly tacky, then stop. Over-setting is the other main cause of creasing - and this powder gives a soft-focus blur with no flashback, so a light hand is enough.

Match it properly

The concealer comes in 18 shades from Vanilla Veil to Club Coffee. Choose one that's very close to your foundation, or a half-step lighter if you want brightness - anything more than that will oxidise pale and crease more visibly.
